Myths About Antidepressants

Noradrenaline Reuptake Inhibitors (NaRIs)

Only one selective inhibitor of noradrenaline reuptake is currently available in Australia.

The brand name is Edronax

Like most other antidepressants, it is vital not to use MAOI and NaRI antidepressants together. If there is a need to change from a MAOI to a NaRI, there must be a gap of some weeks before the NaRI can be commenced.

More common side-effects include dry mouth, difficulty sleeping, constipation, and sweating.
